Camping & Wildfire Awareness Education

A camping trip on July 23rd and July 24 th at 2710 Jurs Rd, West
Point. This is a property owned by Agastya Goel’s parents and has a creek and a river. We
will camp by the river. That place is also prone to wildfires as it is a forested area
hence, Agastya will be leading and running an educational event regarding wildfires
awareness. There will be an opportunity to sign up for service hours for 3 years
for Agastya’s Eagle Scout project. Three people are needed to lead and others to participate in the wildfire awareness activities.

There is a small river on the property so we can also do some fun activities. Since it is in
a gold country, we can also go and look at some old mines.

The scouts can also cook and get their cooking credit. We will
also be doing campfires and some campfire activities.

Equipment considerations: Camping
gear, cooking gear, swim shorts, sunscreen, hiking shoes

Uniform Requirement: Class A uniform for wildfire training
