Kayak Float & Picnic

Come float your Kayak at Shoreline Park on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 9:30-11:30am. It’s a chance to check that your kayak you built really floats!.  Before we put your newly painted boat in the water, we will add grommets to the tabs on the end of your boat and we’ll show you how to tie on your painter line.  Here’s your chance to show the great paint job you have been perfecting.  Note that we’ve never had a boat sink!

Costs:  $5 per kayak for launch-fee, paid directly to Shoreline Lake Boathouse (Troop 37/201 will not be collecting this registration); Additional $5 for Personal Floatation Device (PFD) rental if you don’t bring your own.

Equipment considerations:

Kayak (completed boat, spreaders, paddle, floats)

PFD

Scouts and their families may choose to stay longer to continue floating the kayak and/or have a lunch picnic.
