BSA Camp Emerald Bay – 2024

Emerald Bay Boy Scout Camp on a remote portion of Catalina Island offers a one week adventure of water sports, boating, archery, shooting, snorkeling, scuba diving and scores of merit badge opportunities.  The scouts will leave Covington Saturday AM and drive together in a single, large rented van to Los Angeles harbor.   Sunday morning participants then take a ferry to Catalina Island for six nights.

Emerald Bay offers on on-site Scuba Dive equipment and training shop.  For a very modest fee scouts can participate in a one on one assisted scuba dive experience under the supervision of a dive instructor in one of the most beautiful dive settings found anywhere in North America.

Parents and guardians are also welcome to attend this camp.

Estimated Cost – $975 per scout for the camp + $150 for transportation. If a scout wants to try assisted scuba diving in an amazing protected marine environment there are modest additional expenses.
