Gold Rush Adventure! 2021

Experience the “gold fever” of pioneers flocking west to find their fame and fortune. Do you have what takes to stake and work your claim? Pan for gold, shoot archery and muzzleloading rifles, start a fire with flint & steel, make candles, rope, and bullets, lasso a steer and cut wood for your cabin!

Cost: $40 per participant.

Limit of 30 total participants per troop (scouts, adults, Webelos & their adult).  Webelos must attend with one parent.

Scout limit:  11 current troop scouts. Scouts who attend will host the Webelos guests and possibly help run stations.
Troop Adult limit: 5 adults.  Each adult will help run stations or cook for adults + Webelos parents.
Webelos II guest limit: 7 Webelos 2 scouts
Webelos II parent limit: 7 Webelos 2 parent chaperones (1:1 for Webelos 2 scouts).  Webelos 2 parents don’t have to accompany their Webelos 2 scouts all day, and can help run the troop stations

Troop 201 & 37 will be responsible for running Bucksaw, Plungers, Knot Tying, and post camp-fire Dessert.

Please remember to:

1. Bring the consent forms (your scout will not be able to participate at shooting and tomahawk throw without them).
2. Give your scouts some change (quarters and dollars – no bills larger than $5) for the Saloon and General Store
3. Bring dinner for Friday night.
4. Meet up at LAYC prior to 4pm on Friday.
5. Complete the Pre-Event Health Screening for COVID prior to leaving.
