SUMMARY:Festival of Lights Parade
DESCRIPTION:The Los Altos Festival of Lights Parade is a fun outdoor activity that the whole community attends. It’s fun to see others happy as we sell them goodies\, especially the glow-in-the-dark items. \nSince 1977\, the Festival of Lights Parade has lit up downtown Los Altos to kick off the holiday season. Drawing large crowds each year\, this holiday parade has quickly become one of the most popular Los Altos events of the year. With a theme of “A Child’s Holiday Fantasy\,” the parade features approximately twenty-five illuminated floats\, twinkling walking storybook characters\, the mayors of Los Altos and Los Altos Hills\, local high school marching bands\, and\, of course\, Santa with his sleigh and reindeer. \n\n\n              Meeting time: 4:00 PM \n             Meeting location: designated intersection in downtown Los Altos (TBA) \nClass A Uniform required. \nSign-up for event jobs here. \nScout Volunteer Description \n4:00 til 6:00 PM: 9 Scouts needed to set up stations and sell novelty items at card tables positioned at specific intersections on Main Street \n4:00 til 6:00 PM: 3 Scouts (must be 14+) needed to help set up roaming cart and sell novelty items using roaming cart along Main Street\n \nScout In Charge and Adult Advisor to help monitor sales activity and money

It’s a wonderful way to give to the community during the holiday season. \nFull Class A Uniform Required. \nEcumenical Hunger Program (EHP) “Neighbors helping Neighbors with Food and So Much More!” \nThe Ecumenical Hunger Program (EHP) is a private\, 501(c)3 non-profit\, community-based organization serving the community since 1975.  EHP’s mission is two-fold: to sustain our neighbors through immediate crises and to help them regain stability and independence.
