DESCRIPTION:Bring a bag lunch for the hike\, we will rest and eat our food. Also make sure to bring enough water for the trip\, there is no drinking water at the campsite so please come prepared. This is a great mid level backpacking trip for anyone to go on and scouts can earn their 10 miles for the hiking merit badge.

DESCRIPTION:For any scouts who are working on becoming second class that have not been able to complete the required 6 mile hike that is needed now is your chance to get that requirement. Join us at Mission Peak Parking Lot at 8:00 am on the 18th. We will return by 2:00 pm. Don’t forget to pack your ten essentials and be sure to wear hiking clothing. Since this is a longer hike bring a light lunch and a snack so that you can refuel yourself. I also recommend carrying two water bottles\, just to be safe. DESCRIPTION:Come float your Kayak at Shoreline Park on Saturday\, May 19\, 2023 from 9:30-11:30am. It’s a chance to check that your kayak you built really floats!.  Before we put your newly painted boat in the water\, we will add grommets to the tabs on the end of your boat and we’ll show you how to tie on your painter line.  Here’s your chance to show the great paint job you have been perfecting.  Note that we’ve never had a boat sink! \nCosts:  $5 per kayak for launch-fee\, paid directly to Shoreline Lake Boathouse (Troop 37/201 will not be collecting this registration); Additional $5 for Personal Floatation Device (PFD) rental if you don’t bring your own. \n  \nEquipment considerations: \nKayak (completed boat\, spreaders\, paddle\, floats) \nPFD \nScouts and their families may choose to stay longer to continue floating the kayak and/or have a lunch picnic.

SUMMARY:Memorial Day Grave Decoration
DESCRIPTION:The Grave Decoration event is a chance for us to honor the deceased veterans for Memorial Day. Scouts from all over the Bay Area come to help in this service project and honor those who have served our nation. We will plant American flags on the graves. In addition\, Scouts will receive 3 service hours for this event\, which is helpful for earning all Scout ranks Tenderfoot and up. There is no fee to attend this event\, and parents and siblings are welcome to attend as well. \n​ \nAll scouts must wear full Class A uniforms. \nWe will meet at Covington School (205 Covington Ave\, Los Altos) at 6:30am on Saturday\, May 25 to caravan up to Golden Gate National Cemetery.
